Xingchen Jiao

Professor - Doctoral supervisor

Xingchen Jiao is now a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Jiangnan University. He obtained his Doctoral degree in inorganic chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China under the guidance of Prof. Yi Xie and Prof. Yongfu Sun (2019). He has dedicated himself to the design, preparation and characterization of low-dimensional nanomaterials and the investigation on photo/electro-catalytic CO₂/waste plastics conversion into high value-added fuels for a long time. To date, he has published more than 30 academic papers in some esteemed journals including Chem Soc. Rev., Acc. Chem. Res., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Natl. Sci. Rev. etc. and his publications have been cited over 4000 times. Also, he independently wrote one English book and jointly applied two Chinese invention patents. In addition, he hosted a variety of provincial and ministerial funds, including the Sub-project of National Key Research and Development Program of China, the General program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Foundation, and the Anhui Provincial Natural Science Foundation etc. He also won some important awards such as the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the President Scholarship Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students, the National Scholarship for Master Students, and the Outstanding Graduates of Anhui Province etc.

Yi Xie

Yi Xie is now a professor of University of Science and Technology of China. She was appointed as the Cheung Kong Scholar Professor of inorganic chemistry in 2000 and elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013, also a recipient of many awards, including the Chinese National Nature Science Award (2001 and 2012), China Young Scientist Award (2002), China Young Female Scientist Award (2006), IUPAC Distinguished Women in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering Award (2013), TWAS Prize in Chemistry (2014), TWAS member (2015) and L'Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science Awards (2015).

Qingxia Chen

Associate professor -Master supervisor

Qingxia Chen is now an associate professor and master supervisor at the Jiangnan University. She received her PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China (2019). Her current interests include the precise synthesis, controllable assembly, and of one-dimensional nanowire materials, as well as their applications in energy conversion. Up to now, she has published many academic papers in some esteemed journals including Acc. Chem. Res., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Trends Chem. and so on. Besides, she hosted the Sub-project of National Key Research and Development Program of China, the Youth Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Foundation etc. She was selected as part of China’s Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program (2020).

Liang Chen

Postdoctoral Fellows

Liang Chen is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Jiangnan University, under the joint supervision of Prof. Xingchen Jiao. He obtained his doctoral degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing under the guidance of Prof. Xianran Xing (2024). He has been engaged in the design, synthesis, and related properties of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for a long time, and has been devoted to the establishment of the relationship between anomalous structural changes (negative thermal expansion) and related charge transfer properties (e.g., luminescence, photocatalysis). To date, he has published many academic papers in some esteemed journals, including J. Am. Chem. Soc., Chem. Sci., CCS Chem., Inorg. Chem., and so on.
